She pursues an investigative and intuitive approach to what is happening with my body each session, and she focuses on what she finds rather than following a set schedule of service. She’s incredibly attentive to what my muscles are presenting and how I respond to the massage. She asks questions about my preferences, levels of tightness or soreness and comfort, and adjusts her massage appropriately. She has an athletic background, which provides a good understanding of why certain muscles may be sore or tight as a result of my recent activity. Madison has very strong hands, which are great for accessing deeper tissue, but she can back off the pressure when I don’t need it. We have a lot of dialogue during the massage — we sort of approach the massage session as a partnership. The massage experience is relaxing, but more therapeutic than total relaxation.
